VICTOR CANO - GYMNASTICS
Victor Cano is an Olympic Gymnast from Barcelona, Spain. He competed in the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympic Games as an artistic gymnast and holds over 30 medals from national championships. Victor graduated in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalunya at the University of Barcelona. Victor was the former acrobatics and physical conditioning coach for the Spanish National Team for three years, during which the team secured two olympic medals. Currently, Victor works as the acrobatics and physical conditioning coach for the US National Artistic Swimming Team. He is also the co-founder and innovation and research director of the company Synkrolovers. |
LASHINDA DEMUS - TRACK & FIELD
Lashinda Demus is an Olympic silver medalist, world champion, and American record holder in the 400-meter hurdles. Lashinda made her first Olympic team in 2004 while competing for the University of South Carolina. The world’s top-ranked 400m hurdler in 2006, Demus took the 2007 season off to give birth to her twin boys, Dontay and Duaine. In 2011, Demus topped the podium, winning the World Championships 400m hurdles and setting an American Record in the process. She followed it up with a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics in London, and a bronze at the 2013 World Championships. As one of the most decorated hurdlers of all time, Demus has learned how to apply the mentality her athletic career has fostered to her family life and career goals. |
LUIS HERNANDEZ - FIGURE SKATING
Luis was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and immigrated with his family to the United States at the age of 5. Luis took up skating at the age of 8. By the age of 17, Luis had competed at two US Nationals and represented the USA internationally. By 18, Luis had severe and life-altering hip injuries that led him to seek answers in order to be able to continue to pursue his passion. With a very different approach, and slightly unconventional coaching, he was able to continue pursuing what he loved and was lucky to be able to represent his country of origin, Mexico, on the world stage for more than a decade (along with winning 6 National Titles). Today, Luis serves as Co-Founder/CFO of Lasso Safe. He also teaches part-time with an "athlete first” focus and volunteers his time on several committees, including the SoCal Interclub DEI Committee. |
RENATE GRIMSTAD
Renate Grimstad is a professional golfer from Bergen, Norway. She graduated from the University of Miami in 2021 with both Bachelors and a Masters in Sport Administration. She is the 2020 All-American and the current scoring record holder for the University of Miami Women's Golf Team. Renate is a two-time member of the Norwegian squad at the World Championships. Renate was also one of the first interns for Athletes Soul. She worked for the organization for 3 months during which she planned, designed and managed post for Athletes Soul's social media channels. |
BREE SHAAF - SKELETON & BOBSLED
Bree Schaaf is an American Bobsled Winter Olympian and former skeleton racer. She is also a graduate of Portland State University, where she played collegiate volleyball. Bree competed as a skeleton racer until 2007 when she switched over to bobsled, earning bobsled rookie of the year in 2009. In 2010, she made the Winter Olympics US bobsled team, finishing fifth place in the 2-women event. Bree is currently a program manager for Global Athlete, a chair on the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC), and a sliding sports analyst and correspondent with NBC sports. She is also a parabobsled coach for the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation. |
SCOTT DEL VECCHIO - ROWING
Scott Del Vecchio was born in Paris, France and began rowing at 11 years old. After leaving Paris to move to Florida, he became a member of the U.S. Junior National Team Selection. He was recruited by the Jacksonville University D1 program and went on to be a Varsity Team member for four years as well as pioneering the school’s best finish at the IRA National Championships. His passion pushed him toward rowing at the legendary California Rowing Club and then PennAC and Vesper boat clubs, where he was a finalist multiple times at the National Selection Regattas. He finished his career with a 2nd place finish at U.S. Trials. After 17 years of training and racing, Scott is committed to giving back to the rowing community and supporting his teammates during their Olympic Qualification journeys. Scott is currently the director of media and marketing at TagAlong. |
JENCE RHOADS - BASKETBALL & HANDBALL
Jence Rhoads holds her Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Auburn University, specializing in Motor Learning and Performance. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Auburn University in the School of Kinesiology and is the Learner Success Lead at GreenFig University Inc. In addition to her professional endeavors, Jence was a collegiate basketball player at Vanderbilt University and a professional basketball player in Europe. Currently, she competes for Team USA in indoor and beach handball. Jence intends to share her knowledge and experience to inspire others to find their purpose and pursue their full potential during and after sport. |
CHRISTOS PAPADIMITRIOU - SOCCER
Christos is a professional football player from Athens, Greece who has been with several clubs in Europe, such as AEK FC, Red Bull Leipzig and FC Energie Cottbus. Following a year of playing for FC Energie Cottbus, Christos decided to invest in other areas of his life and be better prepared for life after sports. In September of 2019, he started his bachelor studies in Sport Management at UCN Denmark, with a full scholarship from the World Players’ Union (FIFPro). Today, Christos is still competing at a professional level in Austria and is also a transition coach trainee for Athletes Soul. |
NIKITA UBEROI - TENNIS
Nikita Uberoi is a current professional tennis player from Boca Raton, Florida. She graduated with a Bachelors in Science from Brown University in 2015 where she played varsity tennis for four years. After her collegiate career, Nikita decided to pursue tennis professionally and has been traveling and competing internationally on the ITF and WTA professional circuits ever since. For the past two years, Nikita has been living and training out of Guangzhou, China. |
