Guests share some great tips and insights in this webinar:
- As an athlete you have many of the qualities require in the finance world: grit, persistence, attention to detail. But be humble as you will start at the bottom and will need to work a lot.
- Be curious and learn as much as you can about the industry through reading, researching, connecting with and shadowing experienced individuals.
- Build your network and connections early with school alumni, former athletes, friends. When connecting with these people, be clear and concise about what you want and be mindful of people's time (request 15 minutes of their time).
- Consider jobs with high financial and human capital that cannot be automated.
